A promotional kit that tells the brand story
When Barilla approached us to create a promotional reward for retail stores, the brief was clear: a set that was instantly recognizable, functional and fully aligned with the brand’s identity.
Together, we designed a three-piece kit: a customized trolley (based on one of our models), a travel pillow and a luggage tag developed from scratch. Each element was created to strengthen Barilla’s visual identity while offering the end customer a useful, long-lasting product.
The goal
The project was part of an in-store promotion: by purchasing two packs of Barilla pasta, customers could win the Tucano-branded kit.
The challenge was finding the right balance between functionality, aesthetics and consistency with the brand’s tone of voice.
The process
After an initial briefing with Barilla’s global marketing team, we worked on:
-
A design proposal aligned with Barilla’s brand values
-
Rapid prototyping (2 development cycles)
-
Production and delivery within the required timeframe
Each product played a specific yet complementary role: the trolley as the core element, with the pillow and luggage tag designed as coherent, custom-made accessories.
The results
-
Category: Mixed (Special Collection + Ad Hoc)
-
Units produced: 1,400 kits
-
Timeline: a few months from design to delivery
-
Use: distributed as a promotional reward in retail stores
In summary
A well-designed promotional project is more than a giveaway—it’s an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with customers and express brand values in a tangible way.
