Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2024: Tucano Green Partner for a Sustainable Future
From 26 to 30 September 2024, Turin hosted the fifteenth edition of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, an event dedicated to good, clean and fair food. Parco Dora was transformed into a lively international crossroads with over 300,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors, from 120 countries. The theme of the edition, “We Are Nature,” underlined the need for a new relationship with nature through food, proposing solutions for a sustainable future.
Among the central elements of the event, sustainable agriculture and the protection of biodiversity found ample space, as well as paths dedicated to urban regeneration and food policies. Over the five days, over 1,000 events involved producers, chefs, activists and young people, with the common goal of rethinking the food system to address global environmental challenges.
In line with the values of the event, Tucano participated as a Green Partner by creating the official shopper entirely produced with recycled plastic. This concrete gesture wanted to underline the commitment to more environmentally friendly practices, contributing to the reduction of the environmental impact of the event. The shoppers distributed to participants were not only a useful accessory, but a symbol of attention to the circular economy and the reuse of materials.
Tucano's presence represented a step forward towards greater sustainability of events, promoting environmental awareness among visitors and exhibitors and supporting the values of Slow Food and Terra Madre.
